Tim takes the same philosophy into taxidermy as he does into family, carpentry, and archery..."pay attention to the details!"

Creative Taxidermy has become well known in the Pacific Northwest for exceptional detail and a passion for cats! This past summer Tim was encouraged by his fellow taxidermists to participate in the Oregon Taxidermy Association's Annual competition show. With not a lot of time to prepare for the show, Tim took a life sized cougar mount that he had already completed for a client. In his first competition against dozens of accomplished taxidermists who create "show" pieces just for such events, Tim won two outstanding awards, as seen here is this picture.

The first award is the McKenzie Taxidermy Supply's "Taxidermist's Choice - Best Lifesize Award". This award is voted on my the other taxidermists in the competition. The second award is the "Mounted In Alaska - Lifesize That Tells a Story". This is awarded by the panel of judges to the best lifesize mammal, including habitat, that tells a story. This award is given to only one taxidermist in every state. Both are exceptional honors to receive.
